This week began our first ´real´ school week. We met many people again but now we three Germans are in separate classes because we've got our own personal timetables. Now we have here the same subjects as in Germany with some exceptions: Im now learning Italian with Swanny and Hannes (the other Germans) and moreover Ive got classes of Informatics, Philosophy and Theatre which I haven't hot in Germany. Im really happy that I can try so much new stuff and also that my classmates and teachers are pretty considerate and friendly to me. 

Esta semana empezó nuestra primera semana ´verdadera´ del colegio. Conocíamos a mucha gente otra vez pero ahora nosotros tres alemanes estamos en diferentes clases porque ya recibimos nuestros horarios individuales. Ahora tenemos las mismas asignaturas como en Alemania aparte de unos excepciones: Aquí tenemos juntos clase de Italiano y además tengo yo clases de Informática, Filosofía y Artes Escénicas que no tengo en Alemania. Estoy contenta de que puedo probar muchas cosas nuevas y también de que mis compañeros y profesores son tan atentos y amables.

Diese Woche hat unsere erste ´richtige´ Schulwoche begonnen. Wir haben wieder viele neue Leute kennengelernt, diesmal waren wir aber in den meisten Fachern getrennt, weil wir jetzt unsere eigenen, persönlichen Stundenplane bekommen haben. Jetzt haben wir hier die Fächer, die wir in Deutschland auch belegen, ausser ein paar Ausnahmen: Hier lernen wir drei nun Italienisch und ausserdem habe ich Informatik, Philosophie und Theater, was in Deutschland nicht auf meinem Stundenplan steht. Ich freue mich aber, dass ich so viel Neues ausprobieren darf und auch, dass meine Mitschüler und Lehrer meistens sehr rucksichtsvoll und freundlich sind.

I’m already here for close to three weeks and I’m very happy. My host family is very friendly, this isn’t only my new house, it’s my new home. Moreover I’ve already made new friends and I’ve seen a lot of this island and its traditions. I’m really happy to be here and I’m sure that I will think about this three month often and that I will miss everything here.

Ya estoy aquí desde hace casi tres semanas y estoy muy contenta. Mi familia española es muy amable y aquí siento como en casa. Además ya tengo nuevos amigos y he visto mucho de la isla y sus tradiciones. Estoy muy contenta por estar aquí y estoy segura de que voy a pensar mucho de estes tres meses y a echarlos de menos.

Ich bin jetzt schon fast drei Wochen hier und bin sehr glücklich. Meine Gastfamilie ist sehr nett und ich fühle mich hier schon wie zu Hause, ich habe schon einige nette Freunde gefunden und ich habe schon sehr viel von der Insel und ihren Traditionen gesehen. Ich bin froh, hier zu sein und bin mir sicher, dass ich oft an diese drei Monate zurückdenken werde und alles hier vermissen werde.

Carnival continues / Los Carnavales continuen / Karneval geht weiter

After school continued Carnival: We were at the ‘Santa Catalina Square’ at the ‘Gala de la Reina’ where the queen was elected and where many groups danced and played music.

Fuera del colegio los Carnavales continuaron. Fuimos a la plaza ‘Santa Catalina’ donde tuvo lugar la ‘Gala de la Reina’. Ahí estuvo elegido la reina de carnaval de este año y unos grupos bailaron y hicieron música. 

Aber auch nach der Schule ging es mit Karneval weiter: Wir waren auf dem Platz ‚Santa Catalina‘ bei der ‚Gala de la Reina‘, wo die diesjährige Königin gewählt wurde und außerdem viele Gruppen musiziert und getanzt haben.

 Moreover we took part in the big carnival parade through the city. There were many people with very funny costumes which you can’t see in Germany.

 Además fuimos a la gran parade que fue a través de la ciudad. Ahí había mucha gente disfrasado divertido. Esto no se puede ver en Alemania.

 Außerdem haben wir an der großen Parade durch die Stadt teilgenommen, wo sehr viele Leute mit lustigen Kostümen waren, was man in Deutschlang nicht unbedingt zu sehen kriegt.

Carnival begins / Los Carnavales empiezan / Karneval beginnt

For us did Carnival begin at school where the animators had prepared us a program. We (the Comenius group) were split into four groups and then there were four stations. Every group was assigned to another station and then we changed until every group had been at every station.

Para nosotros (el grupo del poryecto) los Carnavales empezaron en el colegio donde los animatores hicieron una programa con nosotros. Nos repartieron en cuatro grupos y había cuatro unidades. Cada grupo estuvo adscribido a una unidad y después cambiamos hasta cada grupo ha estado en cada unidad.

Für uns hat die Karneval-Saison in der Schule begonnen, wo die Animatore ein Programm für uns vorbereitet hatten. Wir (die Comenius-Gruppe) wurden in vier Gruppen aufgeteilt und dann gab es vier Stationen, durch die sich die Gruppen gewechselt haben, damit jeder mal an jeder Station war.

First my group was doing sport: A few girls of the animator group teached us a tipical Canarian dance which is called "Bachata". After that we went in another room where we could paint our faces mutual.

Primero mi grupo hizo deporte. Unas chicas de los animatores nos enseñaron un baile típico de Canarias que se llama "Bachata". Después fuimos a la siguiente unidad donde pintamos nuestras caras mutuamente.


Ich war mit meiner Gruppe zuerst in Sportraum der Schule. Dort haben uns einige Mädchen der Animatoren einen typischen kanarischen Tanz, der "Bachata" heißt, beigebracht. Danach wurden wir in einen Raum geschickt, wo wir uns zu Paaren zusammentun und uns dann gegenseitig schminken konnten.

Later we could make and decorate our own costumes ourselves and at the last station we could make us beautiful masks to complete it.

Luego hicimos y decoramos disfraces y entonces máscaras para concluirlo.

Als nächstes konnten wir uns dann mithilfe der Animatoren coole Kostüme selber basteln und verzieren und in der letzten Station durften wir uns dazu noch Masken basteln.

When this program finished the whole school gathered, the headmistress delivered a speech and we saw a few shows. Students danced, sang, played music or acted in groups or only; it was great.

Cuando el programa acabó, todos los alumnos se reunieron, la directora discurseó y vimos unos presentaciones. Alumnos bailaron, cantaron, hicieron música o actuaron en grupos o solos, estuvo muy guay. 

Als dieses Programm vorbei war, sind wir in den Theatersaal mit großer Bühne geschickt, wo sich alle Schüler versammelt haben, die Direktorin ein paar Wörter geredet hat und wir anschließend viele Aufführungen angeschaut haben. Es haben einzelne Personen oder ganze Gruppen vorgetanzt, gesungen, musiziert oder sogar kleine Theaterstücke aufgeführt haben.
